TV celebs share their funniest wedding moment!

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. Wedding is a special day in a person’s life and it also make for some of the most memorable moments.

Along with beautiful memories, there are instances which make us go all ha ha ha.

In a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com, TV celebs share the funniest incidents from their wedding. Read on...

Shikha Singh

The funny moment in my wedding was when I ran away during varmala and everyone got shocked. Karan (Shah) had to run behind me to complete the ceremony. I ran because the groom’s family lifted Karan too high for me to put the garland. So it was my trick to fool them.

Aakanksha Singh

The panditji, who was there for my and Kunal’s (Sain) pheras, was too funny. He was more like a stand up comedian than a pandit as he was cracking jokes and talking. We were putting questions to him and he was actually giving us answers in a very funny way. The people were enjoying the pheras, usually it gets bored if it's a mid night muhurat but for our wedding those 3 to 4 hours we had a lot of fun and it went smoothly.

Himmanshoo Malhotra

The one moment which I will never forget and was super funny was my varmala ceremony.  We all decided not to bow down during the ceremony and guess what, even Amruta’s (Khanvilkar) family did the same. At that moment, my mom was standing right behind me, Amruta said ‘mamma listen’ and I turned back towards my mom to see her. Amruta took advantage of the situation and placed the varmala on my neck in a jiffy. She won this cute little battle and I still cherish the moment.

Dimpy Ganguly

The funniest moment from my wedding was on the day of the reception (married to businessman Rohit Roy). We, along with few of our friends, had planned a performance for all our guests, rehearsing for which got us so carried away that by the time we reached the venue almost 30% of our invitees had come. Yet, I was in my tee and shorts and absolutely without make-up. After almost 15 mins of wondering what to do inside the car, I decided to step down. I covered my face with a random scarf lying in the car and ran straight to my suite. Needless to elaborate what a sight that must have been!

Anita Hassanandani

My and Rohit’s (Reddy) wedding was a Hindu wedding with Sindhi/ Telugu traditions. At some point, the pandit started laughing as for certain rituals he asked my mom for guidance and both the families passed the ball to each other. Aap jo bole, app jo bole kind of scene.  Eventually, it was quite comical as everyone started laughing on the situation.

Aishwarya Sakhuja

The funniest part of my wedding was that I had to shoot for an ad the same day as my wedding (married to Rohit Nag). They wanted to shoot with me in my real bridal avatar so I was given a proper call time to get ready as a bride to first shoot the ad and then head for my real wedding.
