TV stars open up on 'intolerance' debate

TV stars open up on

Though much has already been said and heard about ‘intolerance’ in India, we truly believe in the liberal environment prevailing in our country. With the intolerance debate and Aamir Khan, making their way to social media and news, we turned to our small screen stars to know their take on the matter.

Lets read what they say...

Hiten Tejwani- I have not ever experienced any such incidents, hence, from my personal experience I feel that India is indeed very tolerant. And I believe we are changing for the better. Having said that I would like to add that there might have been instances which are contradictory to mine, but I have never faced something similar.

Farnaz Shetty-Firstly, I believe that one should not make statements that our country is intolerant. After all, you stay in this country and have made a career here. Then again, I think few issues have been blown out of proportion and many over-reacted on social media platforms.

Shakti Arora- I would prefer not to comment on the issue.

Aasiya Kazi- I believe everyone has their own opinion and the freedom to express them. Hence, supporting or contradicting the debate varies from one person to another.

Kushal Tandon- I would not like to comment about the debate.

Shrenu Parikh- I completely believe that intolerance is about one’s mindset, and one cannot force it upon a country. How I will react to certain things is my personal choice and I have seen India changing in a positive way.

Let us know readers what do you think about the issue.
