‘True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right.’
India is celebrating its 70th Independence. And it is the occasion to remember all the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. We have got independence but have we really got the freedom to live our life our way?
As 'free' India celebrates its another birthday this Monday, we asked TV celebs, what is the one thing they still want freedom from?
Take a look what the actors have said...

In terms of the current scenario in the country, women need to be truly emancipated through education, self-defence and awareness of their rights. I want freedom from religion becoming a matter of propaganda. The only thing the society needs to impose is the insistence on every individual to be good human being.
Sahil Mehta
I want freedom from stereotyping. Freedom from biases and prejudices towards certain professions, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and race. We can clearly work with some freedom in these departments. I think we desperately need it.
Ssharad Malhotra
I want freedom from people who don’t believe in paying taxes to our government. Our leaders must have sufficient funds to take country forward.
Rachana Parulkar
I want freedom from the unorganised system where there is no discipline. But more important, I want freedom from all the ruthless psychotic people who still consider women as a ‘thing’ they can play around and force themselves for cheap pleasures. I think such downgraded and creepy losers should be hanged.
Shikha Singh
I want freedom from corruption and inefficient political system in our country. I really hope and pray that one day someone responsible and intelligent enough can lead our country to a better path and future. As I genuinely feel that we have so much potential in our country which is simply getting wasted every single day.
Siddharth Arora
I think real Independence would be when each and every citizen of India feels safe and liberated living in the country.
