The good looking actor has been enjoying the ongoing FIFA Fever and has always been an ardent football lover. Well, his athletic body says it all! In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the handsome actor speaks about football, FIFA World Cup 2014 and his goals in life. Take a look!!!
Are you gripped by FIFA fever?
FIFA Fever is definitely on. But due to my hectic schedule I have not been able to catch up with the latest updates. But I try to follow it whenever I get time.
Which team do you think will win the cup this season?
For years I have supported Brazil and this year too, I am hoping that Brazil wins the FIFA World Cup. They are an amazing team and their energy and vivacity is a treat for sore eyes.
Are you a diehard football fan?
I cannot really call myself a diehard fan but yes I am an ardent football lover. I received professional training in soccer in school. I was the captain of my team. Even when I came to Mumbai I had the opportunity of brushing up my skills through future training in the same. My athletic body language is a result of rigorous training in football.
So how do you catch up on the games in your busy schedule? You prefer being a Couch Potato with TV or Mobile-On-The Move?
Yes it becomes difficult to keep up with the progress of the game since our timings are inflexible. Only when I return late night, I prefer watching the repeat telecast of the matches at home on TV. But I along with all my friends in the industry meet up to play football sometimes.
In India many people are doing so using apps such as . Are you familiar with Everywhere TV and would you download it?
I have heard about it. And I think it is a great app for people with tight schedules. Once I am free, I am looking forward to downloading the app soon.
Now tell us about your favorite player?
I love the Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. I think he is a gifted and a top-notch player. His energy and style are excellent on field.
Do you think the Indian Football Team will ever play in the FIFA World Cup?
Why not? Definitely! India has a massive population and if we cannot make a team of 11 players to represent our nation at the international level, it is a very shameful thing. I think football should be encouraged in our country as much as cricket. And the government should work towards this. And in the next FIFA World Cup, the Indian football team should definitely represent us on the international level.
Before signing off, football is all about goals. So what’s your goal in life?
I have a number of goals. But one thing that tops my priority list right now is working in Bollywood. And I am giving it my best shot. Hopefully everything will work out well.
Tellychakkar.com wishes you luck and success in all your endeavors…Gurmeet!
