Anuj Saxena, the protagonist of Sony's, Rishtoh Ki Dorr, is hardly visible in the plot these days. The show was earlier announced as the story of the only brother (Anuj) and his three sisters. On a hot afternoon, housewives, who are the target audience of the show, tune in to catch the cool Anuj Saxena. But with his melting appearance, ladies seem to be let down. On top of it, increased focus on Gaurav Chanana and Sampada Vaze, who have yet to connect with the audience, seems to be affecting the TRPs of Rishtoh Ki Dorr.

Anuj has been riding the success wave with Kumkum, Saara Aakash, Praatima and not to forget, Kkusum, which was flag ship show of Sony in those days till Jassi...happened. All these shows have contributed in making Anuj a heartthrob of women folk.
Coming back to Rishtoh Ki Dorr; the damage is not grave. Give us more of Anuj and see how he develops a strong rishta with the viewers. Are the producers of the show listening?
Rajeev buys a bicycle!!!
Wait! Before you jump to any conclusion, we would like to tell you, it has nothing to do with the fact that Deal Ya No Deal has not been working for Rajeev. Apna ex-Sujal already owns a racy car. But to comply with his fitness demands, Rajeev has bought a bicycle. So keep your eyes open, you never know, he would be pedaling next to you.
With this feat, Rajeev seems to be the setting a new trend in tellydom, where TV actors prefer to splurge on houses and cars to add to their lifestyle. Bollywood has unka Salman Khan who is regularly spotted in the by lanes of suburban Mumbai, riding a cycle in order to be fit.
Imagine Rajeev signing to Aamna, 'chandi ki cycle, sone ki seat, aao chale darling, chale double seat! And what if it rains?? Sone pe suhaga ….
Johny has celeb fans!!
Johny Lever's television debut has caused quite a stir. The actor recently went to a restaurant in Mumbai with his family over the weekend. People from the neighbouring tables got up and went up to him singing johny aala re, aala re...! - he was mobbed and had to leave the restaurant.
His fan list went beyond the ordinary when after the Sonu Nigam episode, both Lata Mangeshkar and Kailash Kher called up Johny to congratulate him on the success of the show. They are both avid watchers and Kher for a while thought that it was actually his recorded voice that was playing!
Sachin finds the best shoulder to cry on
Given their hectic schedules and cut throat competition, friendship between actors doesn't blossom much. But Sachin Sharma (Krishna of Kahaani…) and Karishma Tanna (Indu of Kyunki…) are an exception. They first met on the sets of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and have been the best of pals since the past two and a half years.
And now these friends get more to spend time together. Sachin is currently working in Rajshri Productions' Pyaar Ke Do….where Karishma is paired opposite Indraneil Sengupta and he is opposite Barkha Bisht.
"Karishma is my best friend and I look forward to work with her, ", confesses Sachin. "If I've had to describe her, I'd say she's a tall, good at heart person who has a strong head placed on her shoulder. I have just returned from London and Karishma has left the same country. So we have to catch up soon to discuss our trip," quips Sachin.
Rohit gets comfy on Ek Main...
Rohit Roy seems quite at home in his new avatar as an anchor with Ek Main... Just three weeks old on the sets of the show, the actor has not only made the contestants feel at home, but has made original host Shaan's absence bearable for these youngsters who were missing the singer.
Producer director Gajendrra Singh must be glowing with pride for having made the right choice. Sources say that many big names in the music and television industry had been approached to fill in for the four weeks that Shaan was away, but they finally zeroed in on Rohit, who had no inhibitions about taking Shaan’s well established place. That the actor got into the act of hosting this popular series with remarkable ease is commendable.
Watching him on the sets is a delight as he is punctual, learns his lines and makes an entry with Ishitta that few can ignore. His friendly banter with his co anchor, the audience, participants and the judges just gets the show rolling. The show works for the actor as somewhere, he sees it as an outlet to fulfill his dream of being a singer.
Humming away in between takes, Rohit even sang a hit film song at the Groovy Gurus' request on his first day after the shoot. And, he was far from besura. He will be hosting the finale with Shaan, Ishitta and a new female anchor later this month.
Way to go, Rohit!
