News has filtered in that the nation's favourite jodi no. 7, Hiten and Gauri have been voted out of Nach Baliye 2 which will be telecasted coming Monday.
And now with the top three finalists - Hussain - Tina, Bhaktiar -Tanaaz and Yash - Gauri retained in the cut throat competition the media seems to be abuzz with speculations as to who will bag the coveted title this year!
Bets are being laid more in favour of Hussain - Tina. And there's some logic being applied behind this too. Thought Yash- Gauri have proven their dancing skills time and again, they haven't been able to garner as much public votes and they have landed in the danger zone more than once. And coming to Tanaaz- Bhaktiar, in spite of earning 30/30 many a times, of late the judges are a bit put off by their oh-so-perfect act and especially Bhaktiar's I-am-the-best attitude. In fact the judges prefer Hussains suave moves and not Bhaktiar's power-packed performance.
So all this leaves us with Tina - Hussain who have been consistently pleasing the judges with their act from day one and also the public is more biased towards Hussain who has made a mark for himself in Kumkum.
We remember Jhalak Dikhla Ja's fate wherein Mona, who was more popular amongst the telly junta won the jackpot and not Shveta Salve. Will the similar pattern hold in case of NB 2? But then coming back to the fact that it's basically a reality show, you never know who get lucky in the end!
Anuj - the envy of TV stars!
On a visit to the sets of Rishton Ki Dor, we found out that doctor turned actor Anuj Saxena (who plays the protagonist Suhas) has a separate vanity van for himself which he hires on his own!
The norm in this industry is that generally two to three actors share a vanity van which is provided by the production house. So the probable reason why Anuj enjoys such a luxury is because the actor believes in multi-tasking (we all know he's the marketing director of Elder Pharmaceuticals, CEO of Maverick Productions and a restaurateur too). So it becomes easier and convenient for him to go to his private space, between shots and continue with his office work on his laptop without getting disturbed.
Anuj's van is said to be especially designed to suit his needs and includes all the comforts ranging from music system, AC, DVD player, refrigerator and many other luxurious fittings.
Hmmm…we think only the Ritchie rich Anuj can afford such opulence! And why not? If you have it, flaunt it!
Milind shoots round the clock!
The unconventional and ruggedly handsome Milind Gunaji, who came into limelight with his Bollywood films like Fareb and Devdas, is for the first time trying his luck with television.
The show in question is Sony's Kulvaddhu produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions. And his new journey on the small screen doesn't mean that Milind has put a pause to the work flow from the world of movies. He is simultaneously shooting for Subhash Ghai's Black and White and N. Chandra's Breaking News.
So this workoholic by choice and has no choice but to balance his dates between TV and films. And knowing how erratic and demanding the shoot schedules for dailies are, we wonder how long he will be able to pull it off.
Nevertheless, we wish Milind loads of luck and stamina for pursuing a new career on the small screen!
Abhay pens a script!
Abhay Vakil is a happy man these days for he is playing the lead in Sahara One's Zaara and side by side working on a film script. Not many are aware of the fact that the actor has completed a course in film making and went on to assist Priyadarshan on his film Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar prior to his venture into television.
"I took a break after Paalkhi when I decided to start scripting a thriller but frankly I've been associated with the script for nearly one year and it's almost on the verge of completion. I've always wanted to do something like this as I've been associated with Priyadarshan and some other writers as well," says Abhay who is now on the lookout for a producer to provide wheels to his dreams.
