He has been on the telly circuit since quite some time and can boast of shows like India Calling, Rishton Ki Dor and Hare Kaanch Ki Chudiya in his kitty. And like other aspiring actors, Rushad Rana has also tried his luck with films; the prominent one being Veer Zara. Unfortunately his work has gone unnoticed.
And now in his recent release Dor (the Ayesha Takia starrer) Rushad's talent is finally being spoken about. His real life girlfriend, Shubhaavi aka Meera in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has already carved a niche for herself. And now Rushad is also, slowly but gradually, getting his share of limelight.
But we wonder why this low profile couple is hesitant to tom-tom about their relationship. Arey jab pyar kiya toh darna kya?
Why is fame eluding Rohit Bakshi?
We recently spotted actor Rohit Bakshi the actor at a suburban multiplex catching Woh Lamhe with his girlfriend when a thought struck us. He has been a known name in the TV circles since quite some time and is career profile boasts of many Balaji soaps like Kahiin To Hoga, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hain. Inspite of being featured in such TRP rakers wonder why Rohit couldn't hog the limelight like some of his colleagues?
Well, maybe the game is all about being seen around at the right places at the right time, or is it about being more media savvy. Currently Rohit has Balaji's Karam Apna Apna and Sony's Kaajjal Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi in his kitty. Let's hope that this time around Rohit does get his due!
Annu Kapoor out, Babul in?
Zee's flagship show since aeons, Antakshari has witnessed numerous female anchors being replaced and now its turn of the man himself. The inimitable maverick host and Antakshari maestro, Annu Kapoor will bid adieu to the new season of this longest running musical show.
The air is filled with the buzz that Bollywood mainstream singer Babul Supriyo (whose claim to fame are Hum Tum and Kaho Na Pyar Hai prominently) has been approached to replace Annu Kapoor.
To give more info, this isn't Babul's maiden affiliation with the small screen. He has rendered his melodious voice for the title tracks of Star Plus' Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Zee's Tumhari Disha. Also if you remember, Babul was also one of the guest judges on an episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (he graced the show on director Gajendra Singh's insistence)
Will Babul give a green signal to this plum offer? If so, comparisons are bound to happen but one thing for sure, his great sense of humour can aid him sail through.
Anuj's khaas rishta!
We keep discovering many shades to his personality. It seems doctor turned actor and the man behind Maverick Productions, Anuj Saxena, who rose to fame as Abhay in Sony's Kkusum has a very soft corner for dogs. It seems the multi tasking and workaholic businessman already has three dogs - namely Buddy, Brownie and Brandlin.
And the latest value addition to his dogs brigade is a small puppy gifted to him by his staff. It seems Anuj has named him Rocky. A little birdie tells us that the pets bond big time with their master. So much so, that they keep waiting eagerly for Anuj to return from office or his shoot in the wee hours of the night to come home and feed them.
As for Anuj, who is only doing Rishton Ki Dor currently, also shares a very khaas rishta with his pets. So, now we know, when the maverick CEO is globetrotting for his business deals, it's not just a certain Ms Parmar but even Buddy, Brownie, Brandlin and Rocky.
