Sushant to quit Pavitra Rishta?

Sushant Singh Rajput
It’s not uncommon to hear about actors quitting a successful show. To go back into time Amar Upadhyay quit Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi when the show was a top grosser, Rajeev Khandelwal walked out of Kahin To Hoga when the show was at its peak, Shilpa Anand left Dill Mill Gayye when the show was doing well, Mishal Raheja moved out of Laagi Tujhse Lagan when the show was experiencing a spike in ratings and now if rumours are right Nishant Malkani is out of the number two show on Zee Ram Milaayi Jodi. Following this trend is yet another very popular actor of the number one Zee show, Pavitra Rishta. If sources are to be believed Sushant Singh Rajput who plays Manav in Pavitra Rishta may opt out of the show. A source tells us, “Manav has always dreamt of becoming a director. He has now decided to pursue this passion. From a long time he wanted to go abroad to take up a course in film direction. In fact Sushant has been offering his feedback and suggestions on the sets of Pavitra Rishta quite often. Initially he was happy doing the show but then came the leap which he was not convinced about. Though the actor did agree to the leap it is buzzed that he wasn’t too excited with the new track. He finally informed the production house of his decision to quit and if talks fail the production house will be compelled to look for a replacement.” In a chat with TellyChakkar last year the actor had said that he did not want to act anymore and wanted to learn direction. We called Sushant Singh Rajput for a confirmation but he rubbished the news. We hope this is one ‘gossip’ that remains what it is…a rumour!
