Irani movin' to Sony?
It has not been easy going for Aroona Irani after she kicked Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand when Star Plus' interference became unbearable to her. But she seems to be looking much better now, and the frustration and depression appears to be a thing of the past. There is a spring in her stride again.

Our sleuths got to work and discovered that the lady has taken a script to Star Plus' nearest rival, Sony Entertainment Television and reportedly has a tacit approval to proceed. When Nausheen Ali Sardar opted out of Kkusum on Sony, Star Plus acted fast and roped her in for Kaalchakra. When Irani opted out of Des Mein..., Sony seems to have exacted its revenge. Tit for tat.
Aman-Mohnish - fight for the limelight
Sangeeta 'Pammi' Ghosh and Sweta 'Anu' Keswani can heave a sigh of relief. The latest on the grapevine is that Aman Varma and Mohnish Behl have been daggers drawn on the sets of UTV's Devi for quite a while now. Each actor feels enough importance is not being given to him. The eternal bickering and carping, gossip has it, is getting on the nerves of the rest of the cast and crew.
Is this also adversely affecting the performance of both actors? Hmmm... bears watching...
Putting on an act?
Caught up with Dipal Shah- the HMV video girl who makes her Bollywood splash in Hriday Shetty's second directorial titled Daag-Shades of Love. The hot babe (have you seen how high the skirt went in her first video Kabhi aar Kabhi Paar?) surprised us when she said, err, claimed that she wouldn't do a Murder or a Hawas so early in her career. "I want to establish myself as an actress," she says. The Mallika Sherawats and Meghna Naidus can heave a sigh of relief, if they are na?ve, that is. In Bollywood, better actors than these have gone back on their word within no time. And we aren't naming anyone here, please!
Aman riding high
Aman Varma's plate continues to get filled. After signing an Indo Pak serial which will co-star Sakshi Tanwar (who stormed out in annoyance after he and his jadoo started hogging the limelight in Sony's Devi), he is now in talks with a channel for hosting a game show! Plus, we hear he could stage a comeback in UTV's Kehta Hai Dil on Star Plus. As we told you last time, some people have all the luck... till eternity.
Rajeev Mehra shifts loyalties to Star Plus?
After a fair stint with Office Office, Kissa Kursi Ka, Nhok Jhok and Khatta Meetha on Sab TV, and Zabaan Sambhal Ke for Doordarshan the buzz is that Rajeev Mehra is planning a show with the reigning entertainment channel, Star Plus. What the show is all about, who stars in it, what's the genre... is all being kept under wraps. Kisiki nazar na lag jaye. Know what we mean?
Sonu Nigam to divorce?
Rumour mills are working overtime with the refrain that all is not well between Mr & Mrs Sonu Nigam. The flamboyant singer cum actor is desperate to keep his private life under a cloak, but then, you know how it is. Fame doesn't come cheap, does it?
