I play the character of Rajnigandha who is very naughty. It’s a positive character and very different from what I essay in Baa Bahu Baby. I have been playing a baby since the past two and a half years and now I got a chance to play something different so I grabbed it. I loved my glamorous image which makes me feel different and rejuvenated. The unit is the same and the chemistery between me and Deven Bhojani is very diverse in the show. I share a different relation with him on Star plus and a very different one on 9X. I think this may provoke the audience to watch the show. What’s going on in Baa Bahu Baby? As of now my love track is going on with Birju (Amit Verma). Following that there is the marriage of Dimple and Anish (Gautam Rode). Then there is marriage on the cards for Gurinder (Shweta Keswani). Now there is no more mourning. How do you manage to handle both the shows? Both the shows are weeklies so there is not much stress. I work for 12 days on Baa Bahu Aur Baby and 3 to 4 days for Remote Control. As I’m in my last year of graduation I need all the other days for this. We work for one shift and it’s very hectic. At the end of the day you get so tired that there is no energy left to do anything else. Are you planning to go for further studies? With two shows in hand I hardly get time to study. After my graduation I have not planned anything. Basically I wanted to do B M M but after my HSC the offers started flowing in thus I opted for complete my graduation through correspondence. I would now like to study the art of editing. If not an actor what would you be? I would have become a copywriter. Basically, I was very interested in this but after acting I could not get a chance to learn this skill. I think it is very necessary to know the art of writing. Besides that I also wanted to go for a film making course. Without understanding the language it’s difficult to make a film thus both are necessary and if I get time I would like to specialize in it.I don’t want to make a film but would definitely like to make ads or a documentary. You started your career as a child artist in films. So when are you going back to the big screen? I had to choose between my studies and films and I gave priority to my studies. I received good acclaim for Halo which won me an International Award and a special jury award in India. After taking a break from films, ads started to flow in and this is how I started my new career on television. Now at this point of time I’ve blocked my dates for television and I’m very happy. I’ll only opt for the big screen when I receive a good offer from a good banner. Why are TV stars not much appreciated on the big screen? It again totally depends on what kind of film they are doing. Now- a – days I feel television stars want to jump on the big screen just for the sake of doing a film. They would only get appreciation if they choose the right script and a big banner. There are good examples like Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan who are doing very well in Bollywood. They started their career from television and have taken the right decision at the right time. What is your dream role? There is no particular role that I want to portray but I would like to host a travel show. You can say that it’s my dream job. The best part of such a show is that you have to be yourself and get paid more than what you get in acting. There is no make-up and you are able to explore the world. Though I’ve not travelled much but by hosting travel show I’ll get a good chance
