Choreographer and singer Ganesh Hegde, who’s the brain behind hit dance numbers like ‘Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo’, ‘Khallas’ and ‘Chammak Challo’, is seen judging Colors’ number one celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Born with amazing dance moves, Ganesh stands pitches above the most talented choreographers of his generations.
In a quick conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Ganesh spoke about the talent of season 9, rumours of tantrums, replacements, and more...take a look:
Jhalak 9 have dangerous dancers
Jhalak is very interesting. A judge is not just a judge but an entertainer too. I feel it suits my personality. This season’s contestants are surprising us each day. There is only one lesson for the contestants that they have to be on their toes. They can’t relax and think he/she is the best. There are a lot of excellent dancers and the non-dancers are also giving tough competition. It is difficult to choose a favourite at this moment.
Dancing skill
Passion and expressions are the most important part of a dance. Also, if you don’t pump in energy, you will look like a robot.
On replacement rumours
Without actual facts, someone is doing irresponsible journalism. No one can replace anyone in this industry. If you see Farah and me, we are very different from each other with unique personalities. It is my second year in Jhalak, if the team of the show felt that I was troubling them by throwing tantrums, then they would have not approached me for this season.
Jacqueline is very cute
Jacqueline is very cute and honest. She is larger than life and very positive. She is a judge but she doesn’t think that she is judging it and enjoys the performance.
I hope to choreograph for Jacqueline
I have choreographed most of the Bollywood stars, but not yet for Jacqueline. We were supposed to do a movie, but it did not happen. Hopefully, we will work soon.
Dance should look beautiful
Dance is becoming better. I am just scared of one thing that it is turning out to be more technical. People are just concentrating on the steps. Dance has its soul and grace, which is dying. Dance should look beautiful.
