MUMBAI: Varunn Jain is currently seen in Star Bharat's most-watched and popular drama series Tera Mera Saath Rahe.
The actor is seen playing the parallel lead alongside actress Sumati Singh.
Varun is portraying the role of Chirag Modi in the show while Sumati is seen in Ashi's character.
The actor replaced Rajkumar Singh who earlier played the role of Chirag Modi in the show.
Well, the viewers are loving Varunn's performance in Tera Mera Saath Rahe and he has been getting a great response.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Varunn who spoke about the show and much more.
How do you feel your character has evolved in the show till now?
When you enter the show by replacing someone else, it is a very big responsibility to portray that character well. As the person playing it has changed but not the character. I was always thinking that people will accept me or not. I had never seen the show before. But on the second day itself, everyone said that they don't feel that I have replaced the previous actor. They praised me for my performance. I was happy that I am able to pull this off smoothly. My character has developed gradually in the show. I had no clue about how and what kind of scenes the actor before me did for the show. Rest, it is all upon the writers on how they shape my character. I feel if I'm able to connect to the viewers, it means I'm going on the right path.
Viewers are waiting for your and Ashi's romance track just like Saksham and Gopika. Don't you think it's high time Chirag and Ashi's relationship dynamics should evolve?
Of course, I think it's high time the makers show Ashi and Chirag's romantic track in the show. We do a lot of comedy in the show but I feel romance is missing between us. I hope the writers soon come up with a romantic track for us. People are loving our chemistry a lot. People send a lot of DMs on social media and also appreciate us. I am really glad they are liking us.
Who are you closest to on the sets of Tera Mera Saath Rahe? Tell us about your bond with that co-star.
I am the closest to my on-screen mom and co-star Jyoti Mukherji. She plays the role of Meenal Modi in the show. From day one, we had a great connection and we used to bond over food. Both of us are foodies. She is half Bengali and half Punjabi while I am full Punjabi. Both of us gorge on each other's food that we bring from our house. We are very close and we just talk about food all day. Both of us keep gorging on delicious dishes. She is very cute and extremely loving and caring. She always makes sure to make tea, coffee, or green tea for all of us.
