EXCLUSIVE! Vineet Kumar Chaudhary on views on his character turning positive in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2: I don't want Shashi to

MUMBAI: TV czarina Ekta Kapoor's popular drama series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is successfully running on small screens ever since its beginning.

The show stars Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar in the lead roles of Ram and Priya.

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 has struck the right chord with viewers and everyone is loving it.

The daily soap also stars a talented bunch of actors who have already proved their mettle with stellar performances in their previous projects.

Vineet Kumar Chaudhary is one of them who is seen in a pivotal role in the show.

The actor is seen playing the role of Shashi in the show and is paired with Reena Aggarwal who plays the character of Vedika.

Vineet is being lauded for his performance in the show.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Vineet who spoke at length about the show and much more.

The viewers are waiting for Shashi's next move to defeat Ram and of course Vedika. Your take on this?

I have no idea what’s happening in the show right now. Also, I don't have any clue what is going to happen in the further episodes. I haven’t shot for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 for a month now. But yes, I expect that Shashi is going to come back with a bang in the show.

Just like Vedika’s character, fans are hoping Shashi's character might turn positive. Do you personally feel so? What is your take on this?

No, I don’t think so. What Shashi has done so far, he killed Ram’s father which is quite a big crime. He cannot be the positive one. Also, personally, as an actor, I don't want Shashi to be a good guy, I like playing the negative role as there is a lot of potential.

You are already playing a negative character in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 and recently you were seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Do you feel you are getting typecast for playing negative roles?

I really enjoyed playing Sada in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. It was completely different from Shashi. Talking about getting typecast, you won’t believe I had to reject two offers that were similar on the lines of Sada from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. But I personally take a character as a character and not negative or positive. Though positive characters in our TV have limitations, I get more freedom of experimenting while playing negative ones.
