I have enjoyed playing Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Hina Khan

When she was signed for Yeh Rishta… she was novice as an actress. I shouted at her to get the scenes right and after three years, she has emerged as an actress. Today, as the guest editor at Tellychakar.com –they invited me as they completed successful seven years – I decided to interview Hina and talk to her about her journey as an actress. Excerpts:
Hina Khan
When she was signed for Yeh Rishta… she was novice as an actress. I shouted at her to get the scenes right and after three years, she has emerged as an actress. Today, as the guest editor at Tellychakar.com –they invited me as they completed successful seven years – I decided to interview Hina and talk to her about her journey as an actress. Excerpts: How do you feel after being a part of Yeh Rishta…for three years now? It has been a wonderful learning experience. I have had a great time being a part of it and I love every bit. You are a reel life mother now. How do you feel? After pregnancy, I know how to take care of a child. Now, I think I am all set to become a mother in real life (laughs). I know everything about motherhood now. So any plans in the near future to get married and have children? No, not at all. May be in the future but as of now it’s only work, work and work. During your initial days, I shouted at you for not getting the shot right. I did not give you food and water till you got the emotions correct. How do you feel now when you have emerged as an actor? I still remember that day. It was a future sequence and you shouted at me. I cried and finally got the scene right two in the morning. I felt bad then but now I know whatever you said it was for my good. You wanted to get the best out of me. I am really grateful to you. Fair enough. So share us about the thing you are most possessive about? My parents. You have been in the industry for a long time. Any regrets? Not at all. I have loved every bit of it. Share something about yourself that the world is still unaware about? Hmm…I cry a lot. When I get angry, I cry. Even if it is someone else’s fault, instead of shouting I shed tears. I want to overcome this nature of mine. What changes you want to see in the Indian soap industry? Ahh…my production house is awesome. I am not saying it because you are interviewing me (laughs). Personally, I feel there should be holiday on weekends. Tell us something what you think about the TV industry? I never wanted to become an actor. I wanted to see myself a journalist. But after Yeh Rishta…I think TV industry is lovely. Once you are into it, you can never leave it. It is fascinating and amazing. Okay. Do you believe in the idea of “soul mate”? Yes, I do. My soul mate should love me, should understand me, be helpful, respect me and absolutely should not be the rona dhona kinds. So that is all, I guess (smiles). What have you learnt by playing the character of Akshara? I have learnt a lot. Now I know what it takes to be a married woman. Earlier I had different perspectives about mother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and others. But now I know everyone has their own set of opinions, and they should be respected. I think after playing Akshara, I will be a great wife in real life too. One Bollywood actor you want to act with? Salman Khan. One Bollywood producer you want to act with? Rajan Shahi (laughs). I started my TV career with you and I want to enter the world of movies with you. Any message for the newcomers… Always listen to your directors. He or she will always thinks the best for you. They may shout at times, but then it is a learning process. Finally, any message for Tellychakkar.com I keep logging in to check the latest happenings from the world of television. It is a best way to connect with the fans. I wish TC team hearty congratulations on completing seven years.
