Have you seen Ansh Gujral a.k.a. Ranbir Nanda a.k.a. Akashdeep Saigal of late? The best bad man of Indian television has been completely out of the radar for the last six months at least. No one seemed to have any clue of where he was and what he was up to. After being behind our man for the last few weeks, Telly Chakkar finally managed to track him down in Mumbai. Here's what he had to say:

Have you seen Ansh Gujral a.k.a. Ranbir Nanda a.k.a. Akashdeep Saigal of late? The best bad man of Indian television has been completely out of the radar for the last six months at least. No one seemed to have any clue of where he was and what he was up to. After being behind our man for the last few weeks, Telly Chakkar finally managed to track him down in Mumbai. Here's what he had to say:
What have you been up to in the last few months?
In the last few years I have been doing a number of serials and thankfully all of them have done pretty well. I was pretty happy and content with what I have been doing. But after Kuch Is Tara went off air, I thought a lot and felt that i wanted to do something better in my career. Though television is the medium which gave me name and fame, but as we all believe as an actor we all need to grow and I feel the big screen is my ultimate destination. But let me confess one thing I had a great time working in KIT it was a fab show.
So, have you been preparing for launching your career in films?
Well, I have quite a few things up my sleeve and have been working on them. I have plans of directing my own film, for which I am writing the script and deciding on the music of the film. My close associates know that I am a very creative person and music is my passion. I am looking for a good producer with whom I can start working with. In parallel, I am also trying to bag a good role in a film as an actor.
Have you got any good offers?
I feel, there is still scope for improvement in my abilities and have been concentrating on them. In the last few months, I am grooming myself, learning horse riding, taking martial arts class and trying to acquire all those skills that will make me a perfect actor for Bollywood.
Does that mean you are bidding adieu to the television world?
Though the face of Indian television has changed a lot in the last one year, I feel I would like to do a show on television where I can be a judge and not a participant. I would not like to spoil my image on television. I have reached a certain level and would like to maintain that. I want to keep my charm and essence intact before I start working on films.
You are one of the few actors who are not to be seen in any party or function. Any specific reason?
(smiles) I am a very boring person, so there is no point in me attending these parties! Actually, after completing all the training for films, I hardly get time. And when I get some free time, I prefer to take rest. I am not a party animal.
Any message for your fans?
Tellychakkar always gives me immense support and love which I will never forget. I would like to convey my love and gratitude to all my fans who are with me from the time I started my journey in this industry. I would also like to tell them that very soon you will see me and this time see me in a way they want to see me. I am pretty confident about that.
