Tell us something about the show Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega has become very popular because it’s very unique and something different. I am very happy that the show is coming with its second season so soon. I really missed the show and all the fun we used to have with Farah Khan, Vishal Malhotra and Annu Malek. I am glad we all are coming together again. Why are you considering only hosting and not acting in daily soaps? It is because I would rather be remembered as Jassi. Jassi was simply a huge brand and my actual struggle in the television industry began after Jassi ended. I would not like doing any role which makes my fan says, ‘What has she done? She was just so good in Jassi.’ I have many offers but I am not taking any of them. I want to stick to hosting because here I think I will not make any mistakes. I also want to participate in reality shows because it entices me a lot. But I will not take any acting assignments coming my way on television because roles like Jassi are not written everyday, and I don’t want my fans to not remember me as Jassi. But haven’t you signed films? Yes, I have signed films, because films have a long shelf life. TV has a shorter lifespan. You have to be regular on TV only then the audience will remember you. Once you are gone, they forget you. But in films it is totally different. Audiences remember you for long and we somehow become part of their lives. I want to be associated with both films and television. I want to strike a balance between the two. Tell us something about your film Three Idiots I am playing Kareena’s sister in the movie and believe me I was super nervous on the first day of my shooting. But know I think I have grown as an actor. I am much more comfortable in front of the camera now. When I gave my first shot everybody around me including the main actors stood up and clapped for me. They said welcome to the industry and that was such a huge compliment for me. They also praised me for Jassi. I was taken aback when Aamir said that he used to watch my show regularly and I was perfect to play the lead. Then what did you say to Aamir? What should I say that I have seen all your movies (laughs)? I just did not know what to say after that compliment. It was Aamir who broke the ice, because I was very nervous to see all these big film stars. After that we were like a house on fire. We used to play cricket on the sets and games like world building. Kareena and I were like real sisters discussing diet, sleep, and make- up and shopping all the time. Recently you mother asked Salman Khan (celebrity judge of the show) to marry you. What was your reaction? I don’t know about this. I was busy on stage. I am single and enjoying being single. What are your upcoming projects? I am doing a movie called Lakshman Rekha where I am playing the lead opposite Vinay Pathak. It’s an out and out comedy.
