A remarkable combination of beauty and brains, Aamir and Sanjeeda are one of the most sought after couples of TV.
Whether it's their love, relationship or enviable bonding, everything seems like a fairy tale.
Tellychakkar.com caught up with the dashing Aamir Ali and the gorgeous Sanjeeda Sheikh for a quick chat at the launch of Sony Entertainment Televisions’ Power Couple.
Excerpts:
What made you say yes to this show?
Sanjeeda: I never thought that I would do a reality show so soon. I wanted to spend quality time with my husband. I want to be protected, taken care of and will be pampered, so I need a good time with my hubby.
Aamir: It sounded like a fun show. It sounded good. In over a decade ,this is our third reality show. So we just want to have fun and chill.
What according to you, defines a power couple – Is it strength and competition or love and compatibility?
Sanjeeda: The show is all about love, caring, compatibility, and about real life couples. The concept of the show is wonderful and very unique. Even if I wasn't a part of the show, I would have watched it for sure. There are fights between the couples aka cute nok-jhok.
After coming onboard as a couple, did you guys discover anything new about each other?
Sanjeeda: As I said, this show is all about love and how you can fight for it. So I was not aware that Aamir was so mentally strong, but now I know!
You both have never appeared together onscreen on a daily show...
Sanjeeda: People used to ask us that too. The thing is, if something great comes our way, then we would definitely take it up. After seeing us together for 2-3 months, they would know how Aamir and Sanjeeda are in real life. They would get to know about our personal lives also. We can't fake it on a reality show.
What do you guys have to say about your host Arbaaz-Malaika?
Sanjeeda: Arbaaz bhai will soon be known as one of the best hosts on Indian television. He makes us feel very comfortable and is like a family.
Aamir: He is very good. He is a person whom you can trust. He is like a friend. He is very fair and is a sweetheart.
Who is more possessive, between the two of you?
Sanjeeda: Girls are possessive. I am more possessive!
Aamir: (laughs and point towards Sanjeeda).
How do you strike a balance between your personal and professional life?
Sanjeeda: I feel blessed that I got married to an actor. I have heard girls saying that they would never marry an actor. If we are in same profession, we understand each other better.
All the best, Aamir and Sanjeeda!
