Producers and directors don't like me anymore : Varun Badola

Varun Badola
Varun Badola is not only a talented actor but also a fabulous dancer. The actor gained popularity with his fascinating performances in shows like Koshish-Ek Aashaa, Ek Chabi Hai Pados Mein, and Astitva Ek Prem Kahani. He was seen grooving and jiving with his wife Rajeshwari Sachdev in Nach Baliye. He has also acted in films namely Charas, Haasil, Main Meri Patni Aur Woh. There is no doubt Varun is one piece of sheer talent, but the actor has not been seen on TV or films for quite some time now. Varun talked to Tellychakkar and shared the reason for his long break. He also talked about reality shows, his passion in life and loved ones. Excerpts: What’s going on in your professional life? Right now, I am not doing much of acting. I am currently focusing on script writing, which is my area of interest. Yes, I will be seen in a short film Gaadi Bula Rahi Hai to be aired on SAB TV soon. That’s it for now. Are you not interested in acting anymore? Acting is my passion. It’s in my genes. The more I act, the better I get at it. But currently my priorities are different. It’s been long since you have been seen as a lead in any daily soap. Why the hiatus? Are you waiting for some dream role? No, I am not waiting for any sort of role. Any role is good role for me. But the truth is that I have not been approached by anyone at all. Abhi tak mujhe koi bhi offer nahi aya hai, aur mujhe sach bolne se bhi koi parhez nahi hai. Okay. What is the reason behind it? Well, may be the producers and directors don’t like me anymore. I thought I was a good actor, but now I have a different opinion about myself (laughs). Have you not been approached to participate in any reality show as well? I did participate in Nach Baliye but back then reality shows were quite decent. But now it is all about fighting and abusing. Furthermore, I believe when everything is decided on the basis of votes, then talent disappears. These reality shows are setting a bad example for the youngsters of this country. Personally, I cannot fight or talk loudly. So, I can’t think of participating in such shows. So you must be chilling out these days? (Laughs out) Yes, I am having a nice time with my wife Rajeshwari and son Devagya. Furthermore, I watch movies and on getting bored I start writing anything and everything (smiles).
