Best moments on Indian Idol 4...
I have two best moments spent in Indian Idol and both the moments are from the same day. The first best moment was when I returned to the show through the wild card. That day was my birthday and the second best moment was when my birthday was celebrated on the sets along with Annuji’s (Annu Malek) birthday as we share the same birthday.
Biggest threat on the show…
Rajdeep as he is a well trained and a versatile singer and Saurabhee because she is a good performer.
Your journey so far…
I am feeling great as I have left behind a lot of other contestants and the fact that I am among the top 7 finalists gives me a sense of achievement. I had to leave my studies to participate in this show and I feel that my dedication is paying. I am only 17 and people have started recognising me, all thanks to Indian Idol.
Life prior to this show…
I was studying in the first year of Mass Media from Wilson College when I participated in the show.
Growing up years…
My father is an Army officer and my mother is a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya which has branches across India. Both my parents kept transferring to different places in their respective jobs. I have grown up living in different places of India shuffling from one city to another. It helped me discover new cultures and meet different type of people.
The next Indian Idol…
I have come a long way. Initially I used to get less votes and I would always end up being in the danger zone. Slowly and steadily, as the episodes progressed, people started liking my singing and now more and more people vote for me. This has increased my hopes of winning the title. Today people are considering me as one of the strongest contestants.
Your future plans…
I will get back to my studies but music will be my priority. I am planning to drop my course in Mass Media and do graduation in Arts as studying Mass Media requires more time. These days there are so many singing talent hunt shows and so many aspiring singers like me that once the show gets over, people tend to forget you if you do not stay in the public sight. So I will keep doing some or the other thing in singing as it will help me remain in public memory and get more opportunities.
