Samir Soni, better known as Kunal Chopra of Colors’ Parichay, is known for his fashion sense. His appearances surely make style statements. Though people tend to go ga-ga over Samir's sense of fashion, for the man himself it is a simple affair. Below, Samir Soni reveals his fashion sutras to Tellychakkar.com.
Fashion is: Comfort and class. It comes from this phrase I read 20 years ago. “Class never goes out of fashion.”
Who chooses your clothes? I do; but I do take Neelam’s (Kothari – his wife) advice.
Do you wear accessories? Only watches.
Do you follow any brands? Yes I do, but only because they provide the perfect fit. But I am not brand conscious. I want the apparel to fit me well.
Favourite shopping destination: I pick clothes from all around and now you get every brand in India so there is no point going abroad. However, I like shopping in Dubai and Bangkok.
Most expensive buy: My I-Pad. I do not really believe in spending on clothes.
Clothes you are comfortable in: Denims with T-shirts and shirts and if I am out I team it up with a blazer.
Favourite designer: I have a lot of friends who are very good designers but I do not wear designer clothes.
Must-have in your wallet: My driving license.
Favourite perfume: Classic Polo. I’ve been using it for 15 years now and I don’t like shifting to any other perfume.
Colour that fills your wardrobe: Seventy percent black and thirty percent white.
