Rukhsar Rehman who was last seen as Vinita in Bhaskar Bharti is a fitness freak. She doesn’t believe in dieting. Though she has a sweet tooth she makes up for it with regular exercise. Read on as Rukhsar shares her fitness regime with TellyChakkar. <strong>Personal fitness mantra:</strong> I go to the gym everyday and I also have a personal trainer. Exercise routine: I do cardio and weight training and also jogging. I do cardio for three days and weight training for another three days and I also go for jogging when I can't hit the gym. Is food the elixir of life? Yes, it is important but it’s not the elixir of my life. Are you a foodie? Yes, sometimes I am Are you a vegetarian or non-vegetarian? Non-vegetarian, I prefer eating chicken and sea-food but I am not very fond of mutton. Favourite cuisine: Continental and Indian Favourite dish: Risotto, grilled chicken and my all-time favourite is dal chawal and eggs. Favourite restaurant: Indigo, Peshawari (ITC Maratha Sheraton) and Trishna A must on my breakfast table: Omelette or scrambled egg whites, muesli and oats Sugar or sugar-free for my tea/coffee... Tea with sugar. Lunch generally consists of… dal, rice, sabzi, salad and sometimes parathas For high-tea you would prefer…tea and parathas if I feel like pampering myself. Dinner generally consists of… maybe fish or chicken and dal, rice, sabzi. Dessert delights… I have a sweet tooth and like all kinds of desserts expect gulab jamuns One thing I can’t resist… Any sweet My favourite drink (non-alcoholic)… Fruit Punch and Orange juice My favourite drink (alcoholic)… I don’t drink At parties I have… A soft drink if there is no fruit punch and starters. Most unusual dish I've tasted… Thankfully, till now I have not tasted anything unusual. Experiment with food… I avoid experimenting. On the streets, I love to have… Pani puri Do you cook? Yes, but I like making desserts Favourite recipe : Sheer Khurma Ingredients: 1 litre milk, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar , dry fruits ( Pre-soaked and chopped), a few strands of saffron, sevaiyan ? kg , ghee 1 tbsp. Method: Heat ghee and sauté sevaiyan in it. Boil milk separately and add sugar. Let the milk cook for sometime then put some saffron strands into it. Let it cook for a couple of minutes; add sevaiyan and dry fruits. Cook for another three minutes, take out in a serving bowl and serve hot.
