"I sometimes design my own clothes" Rajshree Thakur

The launch of Zee's girl next door - Saloni in Saat Phere, changed the destiny of debutant Rajshree Thakur. A thorough Mumbaikar, the actor harbored dreams of acting in films until she liked the story of her maiden show so much that she decided to keep her big screen plans on the backburner. And since then her popularity has soared great heights. She has also bagged the prestigious Best Fresh Face of the Year - Female 2006 at the Sixth Indian Telly Awards.
And now she is all set to take the saath pheres even in real life. Come February, this simple and down-to-earth actor will get hitched to her long time beau. Rajshree takes off time from her hectic schedules and trousseau shopping and shares with us the lighter side of her life by discussing fashion, films and more. Movie mania I am a complete film buff. I love to watch Hindi films and am particularly fond of Sharukh and Hrithik. Don was a treat to watch for its stylized treatment. I would also rate Rang De Basanti as one of the greatest movies in recent times.Hats off to the director. Shopoholism Whenever I get time off from shoots I just don't wait to shop. In-Orbit Mall in Malad is my favourite shopping destination. The ambience of the place is very inviting and has so much to offer in terms of choice. Fashion Fundas I don't like being trendy just for the sake of it. My style is a bit toned down in that sense. Indian traditional drapes attract me a lot. I also love wearing Ritu Kumar outfits. Nevetheless, I do wear western outfits keeping the occasion and comfort in mind. Expensive Buys My most expensive purchase so far has been a sari worth Rs 10,000. I am not obsessed with brands and I sometimes design my own clothes and usually spend between 5,000 to 6,000 bucks in doing so. Books I love Although I work for 13 hours a day and have little time to read, I still manage to skim over a few pages everyday. I am particularly fond of Paulo Coehlo's books. Currently I am reading one of his best sellers The Alchemist.
