Fremantle concludes the first successful season of its digital production, India

FremantleMedia, best known for producing international brands like Indian Idol and India’s Got Talent, concludes the biggest digital talent hunt show in the world called ‘India’s Digital Superstars’. The show created around 800 minutes of original content and roped in 35 celebrities to mentor the participants in their journey which received entries from across 12 countries. The real success of the show lay in the fact that three contestants – Famous Crew, the dance group, Prerna & Apurva, the scintillating salsa dancers and Yogeshwari, an aerial dance performer  who made it to the Semi Finals of India's Got Talent- 6 were discovered through India's Digital Superstars. That is what Fremantle Media brings to the table because of their strength in being able to leverage talent. India’s Digital Superstar was extended by 6 weeks on account of its rising popularity and public demand.

The show redefined the digital space with its huge success that had got the nation in a frenzy. India’s Digital Superstar crossed the million mark with the views and likes from the audience who were the ultimate judge of the show. Feroz Khan a humble boy from Dehradun who stepped into the city of dreams like thousand others, had taken the digital world by a storm with his mesmerizing and soulful voice. He was declared as the winner of  India’s Digital Superstar at the super grand finale of the show. Feroz Khan won a 20 Lakh contract with FremantleMedia and One Digital and went on to become India’s first ever digital superstar! 

India’s Digital Superstar gave a whole new meaning to talent hunt shows with its international reach, where people from countries like USA, Russia, Canada, Thailand among others sent their talent videos and became a part of the world’s largest digital talent hunt show.

Talking about the show, Anu Malik was all praise for the participants and the talent that was tapped through India’s Digital Superstar. According to him, “It was an immense pleasure  to witness the massive talent  from different walks of life at India’s Digital Superstar, a platform to show case talent before the whole world from the comfort of our homes. The unique concept of an online talent hunt show is going to reach newer heights because we are living in a digital era and the internet is here to stay’’. The show’s winner, Feroz Khan was ecstatic to win the title. He says, “I want to thank all the viewers and my fans for supporting me in my journey. India’s Digital Superstar is a direct entry to stardom for those who have talent for it, avoiding hurdles like auditions, shooting and so on.”

India’s Digital Superstar, by FremantleMedia, was an innovative path breaking show ever in India where the audience judged the digital stars across a span of around 20 weeks. The talent hunt had mentors like, Anu Malik, Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant, Jazzy B, Sunny Leone Andy, Raftaar and Anubhav Sinha on board. The cumulative views and likes that 'India's Digital Superstars' had received in the last six months was close to a million.

The show was presented by Amazon.in, powered by Gionee in association with radio partner Red FM. The India’s digital superstar platform encouraged participants to upload multiple videos of their talent, and was judged by the audience through the number of views and likes across Youtube, ZengaTV and Facebook. It was a power-packed digital show with non-stop auditions, non-stop opportunity, 24/7 content and non-stop fun.
