Nick celebrates the real superheroes - in association with Ugam, victors of childhood cancer

Nick, the popular kids

On the occasion of National Cancer Survivors Day, hundreds of people spent their Sunday sharing stories of them defeating the disease and motivating others in their fight against cancer.

Nick, the popular kids’ channel and Ugam, a voluntary support group involved in a crusade against cancer and a unit of The Indian Cancer Society (ICS), partnered to celebrate the victors of childhood cancer on the occasion of Cancer Survivors’ Day.

Nick brought its international icon, SpongeBob Squarepants at the event, who greeted the cancer victors, danced with them, posed for photographs and brought a smile on the face of the young heroes.

The event also saw dance performances and skits by kids, many of them who had overcome the dreaded disease. To contribute to the cancer survivors: Individuals/ companies interested in contributing to the society can donate towards the care and rehabilitation of cancer survivors. Cheques/ DD should be drawn in the favour of Indian Cancer Society, payable at Mumbai, with a covering letter stating that the donation is for Ugam. For more information, visit: ugamcalling.org
