Star Plus' recently launched show, Dahleez, stars Harshad Arora and newbie Tridha Chaudhary in the leads. The show is co produced by Fortunes Productions and Colesceum.
Throughout last week, the show kept us hooked onto it not just with its feel good romance, but also with its gripping storyline. Law and bureaucracy may not have always been so entertaining than this show promises to be.
Here is an analysis of the show’s first week...read on:
Hatke love story
You might feel that love at first sight is a filmy thing, but when we see Adarsh (Harshad) losing his heart to Swadheenta (Tridha) as soon as he lays his eyes on her...you know it's real. It is unbelievable but definitely something sweet to watch. But them bumping into each other again and again was a lil too more. But then as they, cupid knows its way.
What did impress us is how perfectly the two blended with each other like strawberries and milk resulting in a yummilicious milkshake.
A new pairing is always a risk, and we give a hi5 to the makers for choosing the perfect actors for this hatke love story.
Behind the lens team
What we see on screen is the tip of an iceberg for there is a mountain of effort and creativity that goes for making a show. Hats off to the team that works behind the camera for Dahleez. The directors Shashank Shah and Rohit Raj Goyal have done an amazing job and in just a week we can see how much these actors have to offer to TV.
The DOP, Sunil Vishwakarma and editor Sachin Shinde, seem to have been working hand in hand for a seamless work on TV. And something worth noticing is the work of Anirban, who is the stylist for the show. Applause for the team, guys!
Family drama
The family might come across as a sophisticated one from the exterior but when you look deep, it has the issues of a typical middle class family. From the younger son eloping and marrying a ‘not-suitable-for-our-family’ kind of a girl to the elder bahu deprived of her husband’s love. Haven’t we seen it all?
And the theme of the show of a bahu crossing her dahleez (boundary) to fight for her right is nothing new on TV. But yes, we are hopeful that the makers would not choose to go the most treaded trail but rather take us on an exotic trip.
Law tuitions
If being a lawyer was something you wish to do, here you have a personal coaching centre. From how the rich have their way in snatching over properties of the ordeal ones, to the young lawyers being threatened to choose between a happy career to sticking to their righteousness, you have case studies playing live on your TV screens.
Research and detailing
Okay, now how many shows have we seen based in Delhi? Numerous, right? But the way the show has projected and showcased the city and its people define the passion of the makers. Producer Farhan Salaruddin, who also heads the creative team, once again proves that creative may don a hat of a producer but that doesn’t kill his love for art and writing.
Also with a topic as delicate as the law of our country, we are sure the makers have spent many nights reading thick books on the legal system to stay true to them.
We must also highlight the supporting star cast of the show- Amit Behl, Meghna Malik, Meer Ali, Hunar Hale and Aryan Pandit. The talented actors have surely stood their grounds and we are sure there is a lot more to come.
We are keeping our hopes high and wish this series crosses the dahleez of the usual daily shows and offers something different and entertaining to the masses.
