Zee TV’s newly launched periodic drama Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani produced by Sphereorigin is the story set in 1945 in Ameerkot. It revolves around the simple looking girl Gayatri (played by Drashti) and Prince Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo (played by Siddhant Karnick).
After watching the first couple of episodes, we strongly believe and agree with Drashti that the show has a long way to go!

Drashti’s best comeback
Post marriage the ‘Madhuabala’ of small screen Drashti is back to steal millions of hearts. Her character as Gayatri is filled with innocence, purity and vigor. The entry of the free-spirited Gayatri as she bicycles in a saree with a beautiful classic hairdo, extended eyeliner and simple small bindi gives you the perfect reflection of the simpleton look back in time.
Siddhant stands out in the show
Well, we are happy to say that this will be Siddhant’s best show till date. His character of Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo has the perfect style, class with an urban feel. He totally flattered us when he came riding on a horse. From his khakhi attire to the royal prince look, Siddhant was pleasing to our eyes.
Anita’s grace and elegance
We are totally awed with seasoned actress Anita Raj’s beauty and style. The role of Rajmata has a very strong aura and persona. We were super impressed when she mouthed the superb dialogue ‘Raj gharana koi khuli kitaab nahi jo koi dekh sake aur padh sake.’
Intriguing storyline
Till now the story manages to intrigue and hold audience interest. Although it’s somewhere predictable, there are many suspense layers and hidden aspects which viewers can expect in the coming time.
Classic and royal
The setting looks opulent and both Drashti and Karnick emote to impress, staying true to their characters. From vintage cars, to the royal palace, chandeliers, powder rooms and clothes, everything has been designed beautifully keeping in check with the era.
