MUMBAI: The list of Usain Bolt’s achievements is pretty lengthy. It’s not that easy to establish yourself as the greatest sprinter of all time. But Usain Bolt, also known as Lightning Bolt, did it, with his firm dedication and rigorous practice.
An eight-time Olympic gold medallist and eleven-time World Champion, he broke several records.
He is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). Needless to say, he is one of the greatest sprinters, and his accomplishments are certainly testimony to his success.
But do you know what the surprising part is? Well, Usain Bolt was never interested in sprinting. Yes, you read that right.

Before becoming a sprinter, Bolt, who was the first junior sprinter to run the 200-meter in under 20 seconds, was interested in cricket. He also loved watching football during his childhood days. He had never imagined he would turn out to be a world-class sprinter. Earlier, in an interview, he had said, “I was so in love with cricket I didn’t want to do anything else. Track was just something I was doing because I was good at it, and because I was winning it was, ‘You should do this.’ So, alright…”
Interesting, isn’t it?
