Did you know VVS Laxman was a top science student?

VVS Laxman, who made his Test debut in 1996, is considered a batting legend.

MUMBAI: VVS Laxman’s contribution in the field of sports is immense. He mesmerized the fans not just with his cricketing skills but also communication skills and fashion sense.  

The former Indian international cricketer and a current cricket commentator is known for his elegant stroke play. 

Laxman, who made his Test debut in 1996, is considered a batting legend. For his contribution in the field of cricket, he has been bestowed with the Arjuna Award and the Padma Shri.  

But did you know he was not just a batting legend but also an intelligent student during his academic days? In fact, he was a top science student. Yes, you read that right.

Well, he was a top science student at Little Flower High School in Hyderabad. 

Also, for the uninitiated, VVS Laxman’s parents Dr Shantaram and Dr Satyabhama were noted physicians.  

The cricketer was studying medicine when a call by the BCCI changed the course of his life.
