MUMBAI: While talking about cricket one name that people never forget is of course Kapil Dev, the first World Cup-winning captain of India. The living legend’s contribution in the field of cricket is immense and his story inspires millions.
The legendary cricketer has been bestowed with many awards. He is the recipient of awards such as the Arjuna Award, the Padma Shri, and the Padma Bhushan.
However, it’s not just cricket that he is fond of.

He took up another sport after retirement from cricket. Well, after retirement from cricket in 1994, he took up golf. Yes, you read that right.
He loves golf so much that while he is recovering, he has reportedly expressed his desire to return to the sport.
Kapil Dev recently suffered a heart attack. He underwent a successful emergency coronary angioplasty. He is hale and hearty now. According to reports, his former India teammates wished him a speedy recovery on their WhatsApp group to which he replied, “Hi everyone. I'm in good spirits and doing well. On the way to a speedy recovery. Can't wait to return to my golf game. You guys are my family. Thank you.”
Well, this proves how much Kapil Dev loves golf.
