MUMBAI: VVS Laxman took to social media and penned down a note to pay tribute to former cricketer Zaheer Khan.
For the uninitiated, a few days back, VVS Laxman had announced on his page that he would be paying tribute to teammates who influenced him immensely. The series that he has started on social media has become hit among the fans and they look forward to his new post every day.
He lived up to his promise and came up with beautiful notes for some of the most popular and iconic figures of the cricket world.
In his latest post, he has paid tribute to Zaheer Khan.

He shared a picture of Zaheer and wrote, “Daring to dream big & determined to chase those dreams, @zaheer_khan34 ‘s journey from tiny Shrirampur to the dizzy heights of success illustrated the strength of his character.”
He added, “His career-defining county stint at Worcester reiterated his desire to reinvent himself & shed comfort zones.”

It seems Zaheer’s avid fans were eagerly waiting to see his picture on VVS Laxman’s page. One fan wrote, “I knew Zak would be next in your list & was waiting for this post... He really reinvented himself when came back in that England tour in 2006. He should be India's next bowling coach.”
Another commented, “His role in 2011 World Cup success is a story of legends! Zak.”
Earlier, VVS Laxman paid tribute to Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly, Javagal Srinath, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and Yuvraj Singh.
