The most popular show on Sony, C.I.D. completes its 11th year. In fact the longest shot ever taken in a serial has even made it to the Guinness Book of World records.
On this occasion we ask one of the C.I.D. officers to share his memories of having worked on one of the longest running crime investigation series.
Here is what Dayanand Shetty who has been playing Inspector Daya since the first episode has to say.
“It’s a great and new experience every time we shoot. We are happy that C.I.D. is liked by audiences and I hope that it will go on for yet another eleven years.”
Which has been your most favourite episode in all these years?
“It is the episode that we shot in Jaipur in 2006. It had the longest scene taken of 1151 minutes. It was recorded to be the longest shot and thus we entered the Guinness Book of World Records,” he quips
So what will be new in the coming episodes of C.I.D.?
“Well there will be new stories with some exciting adventures. Crime in this show is basically about murder which follows the procedures. That’s the reason we are not getting stale and besides the team will remain the same,” he concludes.
C.I.D. is about a team of detectives from the Crime Investigation Division of the Mumbai Police who investigate exciting cases. C.I.D. is regarded as the longest running crime investigation TV series in India.
The show has thoroughly ruled the minds of audiences and we wish them the very best for the coming years.
