13th Indian Telly Awards: Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Drama)
Earlier in the day, we wrote about the nominations for the Actress in a Supporting Role (Drama), and talked about how important they are to the story telling, as they enhance the performances of lead actors. Similar is the task of an actor in a supporting role. At the 13th Indian Telly Awards, we have six actors who will be competing for the award. Here’s a look at the nominations. Krrip Suri as Prof Vardhaan Suryavanshi (Sadda Haq – My Life My Choice) Krrip as the ‘angry young man’ with a dark past has been doing a great job in the show. His attitude simply stuns one and all. He’s a favourite of girls and has also been admired by people of all ages for his dignified persona on-screen. Gaurav Chopraa as Raghuvendra Prathap Rathore (Uttaran) A show-stealer in terms of looks and attitude, Gaurav Chopra as Raghuvendra Rathore has mesmerized his female fans with his powerful portrayal. He excels in all departments, whether it is a fight sequence, an emotional one or a light-hearted sequence. Sameer Dharmadhikari as Suddhodana (Buddhaa-Rajaon Ka Raja) Again, a character tailor-made for Sameer, we can say!! As Suddhodhana, one could see the pain and agony in the man once his son Siddharth left him to become Buddha. A natural actor, he has yet again delivered a great performance. Arav Chaudhary as Bhishma (Mahabharat) He rocked all the way through as Bhishma. Arav, the man with a heavy body suited the character very well. His performance has been top-class, with the actor only gaining in confidence with every passing sequence. Rohit Bhardwaj as Yudhisthir (Mahabharat) Rohit Bhardwaj yet again, has been a perfect casting for the role of Yudhisthir. The young lad has won a lot of appreciation for the role, and guess this is the time for him to reap rewards by way of nominations. Aham Sharma as Karna (Mahabharat) Aham, one must say has come a long way as an actor with this portrayal of his. As Karna, he looked the character and played it convincingly too.
