13th Indian Telly Awards: Vote Now – Best Actress in a Negative Role

Vamps, what can you say of them? They are hot, sizzling and look beautiful from outside, but have the ability to shed venom when they open their mouths. No show gets successful without their active participation!! And an actress who is donning a negative avatar would get all the opportunities possible to exhibit her acting prowess. You will see them plot and plan and turn vicious, with their words getting sugar-coated at times. They can change their attitude from being the innocent one to the monster in quick time. Above all, she is the one and the only one who can bring tears from the eyes of the innocent protagonist. At the 13th Indian Telly Awards, we have six such gorgeous beauties who would compete for the award. Here is the list of nominees. Nigaar Khan as Madhurima Aditya Jagannath (Main Na Bhoolungi) As Madhurima, Nigaar looked sexy, hot and appealing. The mastermind in the whole fiasco that ruined the life of the innocent girl-next-door Shikha, Nigaar looked very convincing in her conniving plans and motives. She not only provided goose-bumps with her negative avatar, but also added to the oomph factor too. Aashka Goradia as Maharani Dheer Bai (Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap) She’s strong, sensuous at the same time determined to achieve her motive. Her undying ambition of seeing her son taking to the throne forces her to go to the extent of even trying to killing Pratap. Aashka who is a versatile actress has yet again proved her mettle in this very challenging role. With her sheer performance and screen presence, Aashka is a sure-shot contendor for the award. Anita Hassnandini as Shagun Arora (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) As the conspiring first wife of the male lead who does not wish to see him happy, Anita has given a new meaning to ‘being cruel’. Her on-screen tashans with Divyanka’s character as well as with Karan’s, are steamy and bring out the best in her. Anita we must say is the beautiful vamp with her brains in place. Ashwini Kalsekar as Mahamanga (Jodha Akbar) A power-house performer who has a vast experience in acting under her belt. As Mahamanga, Ashwini decked in white delivers the right image of being a pious woman, who is actually chalking out plans to secure a place for her son Adham Khan in the siyaasat. Ashwini has yet again proved her versatility in this challenging avatar. Simone Singh as Sakshi Goenka (Ek Hasina Thi) You can classify her as the glam-doll who is out to achieve her motives against the game plan of Durga. Simone Singh who excelled in the lead role of Heena years back, has played the character of the mighty and powerful Sakshi Goenka to the ‘T’. Must say, a great comeback!! Monica Bedi as Ghuman (Saraswatichandra) A checkered past did not stop the girl to make a rise in her TV career as she grabbed a strong role in the show through her sheer talent. With a pretty and innocent face, she streams out venom through her acts. Holding her strong stance among all other characters, this show surely has given a new rise to Monica and a great one too!
