Aaina Mehta’s the new Antara

Child actor Aaina Mehta, who struck a chord with the audience with her fine act in Star One’s Shakuntala has now been roped in to play the title role in Zee’s popular daily, Aapki Antara. A Sagar Arts’ favourite, Mehta will now play the coveted role of the older Antara post the leap which is in the offing. A source fills, “Apart from Aaina the production house is planning to introduce one more girl along with new characters of Abhishek,Billu and Antara.The story will not run for more than seven to eight months. Antara will eventually become a singer post the second leap and thus the story will come to a logical end.” When contacted, Aaina’s mother Shweta Mehta refused to disclose anything and said, “Nothing has been finalised yet.” Producer Monish Sekhri said, "I am currently busy in a meeting so please call me later. Mostly Aaina should be on."
