MUMBAI: After impressing the audience with his power-packed performances in Marathi & Hindi Films followed by his impressive stints in theatre and choreography, Gashmeer Mahajani is all perked up about his debut on the small screen with the upcoming TV show Imlie on Star Plus. With experience in the field of films and theatre, the talented actor is all set to take on a new world as he ventures into Hindi daily soaps.
Produced by Gul Khan, Imlie is a remake of a Bengali show Ishti Kutum and it features Gashmeer along with Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Mayuri Prabhakar Deshmukh in lead roles.
Marathi fame Gashmeer Mahajani who is elated on embarking on a new journey in the television industry says “This is my first Hindi Television show, I have previously been a part of films and theatre hence this is a new format for me to adjust to. Though it has been going on well. I consider myself blessed to be working with Star Plus and 4 Lions Productions. The entire cast and crew have welcomed me with open arms and I feel comfortable to be working here. I have always waited for the right project to cross my path and ‘Imlie’ is one such show that is perfect in every way for me to mark my debut on television.”
Premiering in November, the show to bring forth a unique triangular love story based on the life of a tribal girl, Imlie who is unpolished yet knowledgeable hailing from a small community-based in the outskirts of UP. Kiran Khoje, Chandresh Singh, Preet Kaur Nayak, Aastha Agarwal, Ritu Singh, Indraneel Bhattacharya, Jyoti Gauba, Ananya Dwivedi, and Rakesh Pandey to also be seen in pivotal roles.
