Sony TV’s larger-than-life show Porus (Swastik Productions) has managed to keep its audiences glued because of its beautiful screenplay and powerful storyline.
Porus focuses on the lives of Porus, King of the Pauravas, and Alexander the Great, Emperor of Macedonia, two kings whose fate brought them together in 326 BC at the Battle of the Hydaspes.
TellyChakkar has learned that a prominent actor, Akash Singh Rajput, who played the role of Hephaestion, has quit the show.
We called up Akash, who confirmed the news and said, ‘Yes, I have quit the show with a heavy heart, as I belong to a political background and will have to shift base to my hometown Bhopal due to the upcoming elections. I have absolutely no problems with my role or with the production people. I am going to miss everybody.’
Akash further expressed his gratitude towards the makers of the show and said, ‘I am extremely thankful to Siddharth Kumar Tewary and the entire team of Porus for giving me this opportunity. They have nurtured me and established me as an actor.’
So will he return to acting? ‘Acting is my passion and I will never quit it,’ Akash concluded.
Here’s wishing Akash loads of luck!
