At its core, the show explores the complexities of love and relationships. The protagonists, Prem and Leela, are childhood sweethearts torn apart by a tragic event, only to reunite under adversarial circumstances. Their journey—from love to rivalry and back to love—mirrors the emotional rollercoaster many experience in real life, making their story relatable to a wide audience.”
Lastly, reflecting on how her character evolved and what she personally discovered through the show, Saniya shared, “Embarking on the journey of portraying Aishwarya, affectionately known as ‘Fake Leela,’ in Prem Leela has been a transformative experience. Initially introduced as an imposter assuming Leela’s identity, Aishwarya appeared manipulative, but as the story unfolded, her character revealed deeper layers—an individual driven by insecurities and a quest for validation. This evolution challenged me to portray her not just as a villain, but as a multifaceted character shaped by her circumstances. Through her, I learned the importance of embracing complexity in characters, understanding that even those who make questionable choices have their own stories.”
Known for her roles in Junooniyatt, Tose Naina Milaike, Mann Atisundar, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh, and Maddam Sir, Saniya Khera continues to captivate audiences with her versatile performances.
