Suhani Dhanki, the trained classical dancer who exhibited the role of the Icchadhari Naagin on TV with her show on &TV, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari is elated and is on cloud nine, with her Bharatanatyam performance to be held this evening in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Rastriya Smarak (Auditorium), Mumbai.
The dancer turned actress has always looked out to strike a balance between her dancing and acting careers.
Today, the girl is deeply indebted to her Guru Dr. Sanddhya V Pureccha for giving her this opportunity and for her immaculate training. Today, she will present her Guru’s composition and choreography with powerful and graceful pieces on Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
Humbled by the opportunity she has got today, Suhani told Tellychakkar.com, “Every performance gives me a new experience and a different kind of joy. Even though you have done it umpteen times, yet there’s nothing that’s going to stop me from feeling a tad bit nervous, feel the butterflies and the excitement. There’s also the elation of performing in the presence of your Guru and the duty of executing the act with technical precision. But somehow, all of these feelings recede as you take your step on to the stage, and feel the divine communion. I love the stage, the space and the surrender.”
Suhani will be performing live tonight at the Sree Paavitra Arts Academy’s Samsara Festival 2016, at Veer Savarkar Auditorium, Shivaji Park at 8 PM.
On her thoughts of coming back to TV, Suhani said, “The thought keeps coming back to me. I am in this constant combat between dance and acting. If I immerse fully into anyone of them, it leaves me with little or no time for the other. I am definitely open to taking up roles, but the kinds that are time-bound. It’s probably the strangest thing to look for, but that’s the best way for me to strike a balance, I guess.”
Our best wishes for your performance today, Suhani!!
