MUMBAI: Medieval warrior King Chhatrasal from the Bundela clan had a history that not many are aware of. He fought Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and laid the foundation his own kingdom in Bundelkhand. The founder of Panna State is known to contemporaries only due to his involvement in the contentious love saga of Bajirao–Mastani.
A series is now being made on the king to showcase his merits and legacy, which is still prominent in Madhya Pradesh.
According to exclusive information available to TellyChakkar, Resonance Digital, a newly formed media firm, is working on the concept. The team is currently chalking out the historical facts and working out the script.
The project is at a nascent stage.
Resonance Digital, founded by Abhyudaya Grover, has just entered the industry. It has worked on Amazon Prime’s upcoming series Mirzapur.
Apparently, the digital platform on which the show will air has not been decided yet.
We dropped Abhyudaya a text but didn’t receive a response till the time of filing the story.
The story of Bajirao and Mastani has been a popular saga. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone played the titular characters in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s adaptation.
Although the casting for this digital series is still underway, it’ll be interesting to know which actors would play Bajirao and Mastani. Moreover, it’ll be challenging for the makers to find an apt actor to play King Chhatrasal.
Which actor do you think can play these characters? Let us in the comments below!
