MUMBAI: Akanksha Puri is presently in Indore. The actress' father recently suffered a stroke, after which a major brain surgery was performed on him. Fortunately, he is in better health now.
Talking to a media portal, the diva said, "My Dad got a stroke recently and I had to rush to Indore. Yesterday, a brain surgery was performed on him and he is feeling better now. Right now I am at the hospital with him."

She added "He is ok, fighting this with a smile. He will take time to recover." She also shared a video of her father from the hospital. Akanksha is seen asking her father how he is feeling now to which he replies, "I am feeling good beta and recovered."
