But to my utter surprise the entire cast and crew of Diya Aur Baati… and some of my close friends came up with birthday cakes last night. Till now, I have already cut four cakes and God knows how many more will I have to lay my knife on by end of the day.” “For me, birthdays are very special and I believe in celebrating and making a merry on this particular day. Today it will be a family affair. Since my parents have already come down from Agra to be part of my celebration, maybe we will all go out for dinner. I shall party with friends sometimes soon,” he adds. What about gifts? “I have got precious gifts in the shape of messages and wishes from my fans. That is the best gift that one can get,” Alan answers. How do you feel on getting a year older today? “I think I am getting younger by each passing year,” the young actor quips.
