Alisha Khan who rose to fame as Purva with Star Plus’ Behenein has been out of action for a while now. So what kept the talented girl away from the limelight? Aah, it is a sudden health condition that forced her to maintain a low profile. We actually heard that Alisha was diagnosed with a benign tumour just behind her left eye. Though the diagnosis had happened few months back, Alsiha took some time before taking the major decision of going through the operation. Tellychakkar.com decided to give the actress a call to find out about her present health condition. Alisha acknowledged our call and said, “Yes, I have recently been ill and this has stopped me from accepting new offers on TV. I had a benign tumour which is actually called a neurological tumour behind my left eye. I got that operated on 19 December 2012. I have been asked to take complete rest for another month or so. The doctors have done a good job on my eye and my vision is very fine. However, the tenderness and swelling remains which will take some time to heal.” Alisha went on to say, “I have been getting many offers. But I did not take them up as I had to undergo the operation. I will take some more time to recuperate and I hope to be back soon.” Alisha, we wish you a speedy recovery.
