MUMBAI: Popular television actor Sneha Wagh got her break in the Hindi television industry with the show ‘Jyoti’. Prior to being casted for the lead of the show she had made her mark in the Marathi entertainment industry with couple of Marathi television shows and movies under her belt. The show went on air first in 2009 which shot Sneha to fame and since then the show has received a lot of love not only in India but also done exceedingly well in Africa, Europe, UK and now Romania. Sneha confesses that she has a lot of fans from the African countries. Looking at its massive fan base and high demand, leading Hindi Entertainment Channel Dangal has decided to bring the show back on air.

Sneha started her career at the age of 13 in the Marathi Television Industry and there was no looking back. Sharing interesting aspects of her journey and what she liked to do on sets other than being in front of the camera Sneha said, “I am person who loves to exchange knowledge and like to garner it from all sources. I never wanted to be an actress. I entered this industry unplanned but ended up loving my job. I started liking the appreciation that I was getting and I just walked ahead. I am also a hyper person in real life and it is extremely difficult for me to sit in one place for more than 5-10 minutes. I need to keep moving, doing something every minute. When I was not in front of the camera I used to lend a helping hand while the food was being cooked for the crew. The working of a set also intrigued me and I used to assist behind the camera in my free time so much that I went on to studying Film making in the London Film Academy.”
She definitely immersed herself in every aspect of her job and we love to have such people around.
Jyoti is a story of how a young woman who sacrifices her dreams in order to fulfill the needs of her family. She conquers all kinds of obstacles so that her family can lead a decent life.
Jyoti currently airs daily on Dangal at 9 pm with its repeat telecast followed at 10 am the next day.
