Alok Narula dreams to play an action-packed role a la Salman Khan in Wanted

The good looking Alok Narula, who was last seen in the daily soap sphere n Zee TV’s Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein (Rashmi Sharma Productions), was seen in an interesting role in an episodic of Life OK’s Savdhan India aired last Sunday (21 July 2013). In this episodic Alok played a government official who fought for the water rights of villagers. Talking about his character, Alok averred, “It was a great experience being a part of Savdhan India. My character, who was a young and positive man, was designated to a village where people were suffering from acute water problems. After realising that the whole system was involved in a scam where rupees six crores allotted by the government did not reach the villagers, he went against his head officials only to suffer badly.” “From a positive young man, I started losing my mind with the effect of drugs instilled in me by my colleagues and other corrupt officials. I ended up at a mental asylum where I also underwent an electric shock treatment. So, I got to play such varied types of character,” he added. Talking about corruption, Alok observes, “The corruption level has gone down to some extent but there is still a long way to go. To eradicate it completely, we must all move in the right direction. Then only, we will be successful.” When asked if such a crime show can educate the masses, the actor replies, “It definitely helps the people, especially those in the suburbs. There people take such shows quite seriously as it shows them how to prevent crimes.” Alok is in talks to work in a couple of projects, but since they have not been finalized yet, the actor refrains from disclosing anything.
