Alok Narula got to shoot for a particular scene at the Lonavla market place where there was a huge crowd of nearly 400 people gathered for Life OK’s Savdhan India. As per his character in the story, Mantu is an obsessive lover and keeps harassing a girl by the name of Geeta (essayed by Jayshree Venkatramanan). He watches her while dressing up, and by distributing pamphlets in public places which have her number.
The scene had Mantu’s friend distributing these pamphlets and requesting the common man to call this girl and have fun. While this is happening, Mantu is waiting for his friend on a bike. It so happened that initially, the crowd gathered did not know that there was a shoot taking place. When the guy distributed pamphlets, the crowd was taken aback and started to argue. This is when Alok and few other people in the production had to come in and explain that there was a shoot going on.
When contacted, Alok said, “We are having a great time shooting in Lonavla. Yes, we had a particular scene where my friend distributes the number of the girl to people assembled in the market area. In fact, the number given in the pamphlet was of a production guy. But the crowd did not realize that we were shooting. Only after we explained, they understood the scenario. Post that, they even obliged to come in front of the camera and shoot. It was a nice experience.”
Aww, a moment Alok will not forget!!
