Amar Upadhyay and Sahil Anand to battle it out in DD's Aalha Udal

Amar Upadhyay is super happy these days. Reason? This Bigg Boss season 5 contestant is all set to feature in DD’s big budget show Sabse Bade Ladaiya- Aalha Udal (Shri Bhangdiya Telefilms). Aalha Udal is a story of two warriors and as per a reliable source Amar Upadhyay will be seen as Aalha in the show while Sahil Anand will be seen as Udal. Since the story will begin from their childhood, child actors Jeet Soni and Dinesh Sharma will be seen as young Aalha and Udal… respectively. Furthermore, Amit Pachori will be seen as Aalha and Udal’s guru Talha Syed. Others in the show include veteran actor Benjuman Gilani, Deepti Dhyani (currently seen in Kairi) and Vinod Kapoor, who was seen in BR Chopra’s Mahabharata. The show is shot across Panvel and Baroda majorly. It is a bi-weekly show and it will be aired every Monday and Tuesday on Doordarshan. Producer Pramod Kapoor confirmed the same and said, “It’s a historical show and we have a very good team. It is one of the best shows on DD currently.” Its first episode aired yesterday (29 October 2012).
