Amit Dhawan in Maryada

Amit Dhawan, who recently did a cameo in Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, will be playing a pivotal role in Deeya and Tony Singh’s new show Maryada Aakhir Kab Tak on Star Plus. A source from the show says, “It took so much time for us to cast an appropriate person for this role. His is a very interesting character, he and his wife played by Kamya Punjabi share a different bond, they will be shown happily married initially but later some incident takes place in his life and he becomes very aggressive with her. Earlier we auditioned many known and unknown faces but could not find a right guy; finally we signed Amit for this role as he looked perfect in it. He will play Sudhir, who has many shades to his personality. He has joined the cast little late because he was chosen a little late.” Maryada is starting from October 18 at 11.30 pm, meanwhile this role was offered to Mehul Bhojak who refused it saying he was too young for it. Amit has done a few shows and movies in the past.
