Amit Sareen replaces Kunal Thakkar in Pavitra Rishta

This is the second replacement on the show after Ajay Rohila (Archana’s father) was replaced by Kishori Govind. Now it is Kunal Thakkar’s to step out as Varsha’s (Priya Marathe) boss and make way for popular actor Amit Sareen. The character of Mr. Sagar will now be played by Amit and if sources are to be believed the role will turn even more negative from here on. Citing the reason our source says that Kunal looked quite young for the role especially as it is negative. We contacted Kunal who confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I am exiting the show as I look too young to play the role. It already was tough to fit the role convincingly as I am younger than the character and the grey shades made it even more difficult.” We tried contacting Amit Sareen but he remained unavailable. But according to sources, Ekta Kapoor personally approached Amit to play the character and the actor grabbed the opportunity. The actor will start shooting for the same from today.
