Anandji reveals an unknown fact about the late Rajesh Khanna after Danish Mohd’s performance on Sony’s Indian Idol Season 12

MUMBAI: The upcoming weekend episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Season 12 is going to be filled with a lot of fun and entertainment. With the presence of legendary music director Anandji from the Kalyanji – Anandji duo, contestants are all set to mesmerize him yet again with their voice. Post Danish Mohd’s wonderful performance on the song Akele hain chale aao, Anandji shared an interesting fact about the late Rajesh Khanna with the judges Himesh Reshammiya, Sonu Kakkar and Anu Malik followed by everyone present one sets. 

Danish’s performance left everyone amazed. He was highly appreciated and along with that Anandji went on to say, "Your voice is amazing and unique. You have perfect knowledge of every sur when you sing. I am happy to hear you and God bless you with a lot of success in life." 

Further, going back to the song which happens to be from Rajesh Khanna’s movie titled Raaz, Anandji added, "Rajesh Khanna Ji and I lived in the same building for many years. He was a very calm, composed and stylish person. When asked if he wanted to become an actor his reply used to be that if he ever receives an opportunity, he would surely give it a try. Later on, as we all know Rajesh Ji went on to be a part of many theatre plays and successful films. Soon, he became the most loved and famous actor. I have worked with Rajesh Khanna Ji and composed songs for his films as well. He was a great human being and is still very close to my heart."

Danish Mohd said, "I am grateful to the show for giving me this opportunity. I have become a fan of Anand Ji sir and his joyful nature. It's my honor to perform in front of such a big legend and his words have encouraged me a lot. The way he narrated the song and Rajesh Khanna’s journey with it was commendable."
