Aniruddh: messiah for pregnant ladies?

Now before you jump to any conclusion, we’re only talking about Aniruddh Dave’s character in his maiden Bollywood film Teree Sang where he and his gang of boys help a pregnant Maahi (Sheena) overcome this tough period. Talking about his character, Dave says, “I play Mushthaq, who is a fun loving, caring and jovial lad from the by- lanes of Jamma Masjid. Delhites are called dilwalas (big hearted men) and Mushtaq is no different. The basic plot of the film is how Musthaq and his friends help an unmarried Maahi (Sheena) overcome the trauma of becoming pregnant. We tell her not to take any drastic step and help her raise her child.” So, from here on can we ask all such ladies to turn to you for help? “Ha ha! Well, real life is completely different from reel life. I’m merely doing my job as an actor,” Dave replied. Interesting, the actor had initially approached director Satish Kaushik to assist him on the film but the latter insisted on him being a part of the cast too. He says,”I had met Satishji during my theatre days in Delhi. I wanted to assist him on his film. Since he knew that I also was an actor, he asked me to give an audition for the film. He liked me and asked me to act in it. I’m thankful to him for having presented me with this opportunity.” Teree Sang also stars actors Anupam Kher, Rajat Kapoor and Sushmita Mukherjee. The film releases on 7 August.
